While cars are an immense strain on the environment, it is difficult to imagine a world without them. Perhaps one day when we are driving flying cars powered by water we will be able to get to work guilt and hassle free.
Before that happens though we need to deal with the cars we have and this means not only servicing them regularly but being prepared if something goes wrong. The first thing you do when you get into a car is put on a seatbelt.
As much as this is habit, we do it just in case something bad happens. We all know how to put on a seatbelt but do we all know how simple changing a tyre can be.
No more damsel in distress on the side of the road waiting for a man to come and change you tyre. Here is how it's done. Every car has a spare tyre, a jack and a tyre iron. Use the jack to pump up the car so that the punctured tyre is off the ground.
Then using the tyre iron you loosen the bolts which are holding the tyre to the car. This is the part which might require some serious arm strength but some perseverance will do in the end. Once the bolts are removed you remove the tyre from the car, and replace it with the spare, making sure to tighten the bolts back into place.
